A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 494 was required for invitations to be sent out to 4,750 candidates by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Canada will aim to welcome 465,000 new immigrants in 2023.
The target will rise to 485,000 new immigrants in 2024.

On October 1, Canada will end all travel restrictions connected to COVID-19.
The ArriveCan app will no longer be required for all travellers as of October 1, 2022, according to a statement from the Canadian government.
In accordance with the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), beginning on October 1, 2022, all travellers, regardless of citizenship, won’t be required to:
1. Submit public health information through the ArriveCAN app or website;
2. Provide proof of vaccination.
3. Undergo pre- or on-arrival testing;
4. Carry out COVID-19-related quarantine or isolation;
5. Monitor and report if they develop signs or symptoms of COVID-19 upon arriving to Canada.

The sixth Express Entry draw since all-program draws were reintroduced on July 6 took place on September 14 and was held at that time. 3,250 invitations to apply were sent by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
